Which is the most difficult era of human life? Childhood? Adolescence? Mature adulthood? While many might suggest that one’s “sunset” years are the hardest, the period designated as “youth” might be the most challenging. Youth is a frustrating time in life. It is that period when one is hardly old enough to be “on their own,” and yet is feeling a sense of independence. Youth are ever attempting to find some sense of identity. The same holds true in spirituality for a youth.
In July 2013, the Youth wing of Bhakti Marga was formed under the divine love and grace of Swami Vishwachakradharananda. The main aim and objective of this venture was to help grow the youth by making them spiritually aware and awaken the divine love within them together with expanding and growing awareness of Bhakti Marga. The youth are after all the future, as the aged old saying goes. And the future of Bhakti Marga does rest upon the youth. We are at an age where we are not conformed to any set spiritual or religious practice, hence, finding the divine and opening our hearts to the divine is of much more ease than for someone in their mature adulthood years.
The Bhakti Marga Youth Wing is still growing, with just a handful of youth who are ever so keen to expand their spiritual knowledge and serve our beloved satguru,Sri Swami Vishwananda. The youth of Bhakti Marga are givers of love; hence seva is of utmost importance to us. Assisting in seva projects, helping to give back to the community is our way of serving our guru and the divine. We cannot wait to embark on new ventures to grow our Youth Wing together with growing ourselves spirituality and basking in the divine and unconditional love of God.
